The Sunbeam 2379 Mixmaster 300-Watt 12-Speed Stand Mixer with Stainless-Steel Bowl comes equipped with a 300 watt motor, serving as the powerful force of its exceptional mixing capabilities. 12 speed settings range from knead, stir, blend, cream, whip and more. An over-sized dial mounted on the mixer’s head allows you to effortlessly control the speed.
The stainless-steel mixing bowl is situated off-center, creating space between the edge of the bowl and the beaters. This makes it quick and convenient when you need to gradually add things such as eggs or flour during the middle of the mixing process. It also allows for scraping of the bowl, even if the mixing process isn’t finished.
The Sunbeam 2379 Mixmaster comes with three sets of dishwasher-safe attachments, including chrome beaters for mixing batters and sauces; chrome dough hooks for kneading bread dough and other heavier mixtures; and whisks to make quick work of eggs, creamy soups, and fillings.
Other features include a power/speed indicator light, and a soft grip handle that offers comfort and slip-free use while lifting and lowering the head. Let Sunbeam bring the fun back into creating all your favorite treats.

Sunbeam 2379 Mixmaster Reviews:
This stand mixer from Sunbeam hasn’t received the greatest praise, barely scoring 3.7 stars out of a possible 5. In fact, there are more one star ratings than five star ratings. It’s odd that the opinions of these consumers range so broadly. Regardless, let’s take a look at what some consumers had to say about it.
What struck me is that someone said:
“I was disappointed in this mixer after having used Sunbeam mixers throughout my 45 year marriage.”
That leads me to believe that people find the company Sunbeam to make good products, it’s just that this one fell short. I don’t know if that is the case however. But it could be one explanation.
Some people actually remarked that it would have been easier and quicker to just knead the bread dough the traditional way with your hands. Apparently the beaters don’t cover the bottom surface either, and one reviewer said it was as much work using a spatula to stir as it was to just work by hand.
The dough then proceeded to creep up the beaters and embed itself in the slots that the beaters go into. Clean up was a mess.
That very same thing was echoed by the next reviewer. They also found that the dough rises into the beater sockets and becomes a mess to clean. Their opinion is that Sunbeam could have put a little more thought into the bread mixing beaters. Ultimately they were very dissatisfied with this mixer.
Another consumer was amazed at the cheapness of this product after taking it out of its box. They stated that this mixer shook at even the lowest speed, it was totally unacceptable and a big comedown from Mixmasters of the past. They promptly packed it back up and sent it back.
I’m not trying to make this mixer look back, I’m simply stating some things I have found. Other reviewers were happy with the mixer and feel that it is a good mixer for the money.
One particular reviewer does a lot of baking and had purchased this stand mixer two years ago. In their opinion, this is a decent, low-priced stand mixer. They’ve made literally thousands of cookies, and it has performed great each time. But they also stated they haven’t used this mixer to make bread dough and therefore can’t say how well it would handle that.
After reading through many of the five star ratings, some of them sound fake to be completely honest. Some sound genuine though, and these reviewers have used the product a lot. Although some don’t like that it is made out of plastic, this one reviewer stated that it is strong plastic.
Obviously it’s up to you whether or not you purchase this mixer. But I can personally say that I wouldn’t. There are just too many negative reviews about this mixer for me to recommend this product to others. It might be a decent mixer for the price, but you might be better off saving up your money and buying a different mixer.
