Jack-Lalanne-PJPJack Lalanne – a Little History on the Man Himself

Françoise Henry Lalanne, whose nickname is Jack was born in San Francisco on September 26, 1914. As a child he had the same kinds of sugar and junk food addictions that most kids have but after hearing a presentation on health and nutrition at the age of 15 he was motivated to start living a healthier lifestyle. Not only that, he was also motivated to help other people live a healthier lifestyle as well.

In 1936, at the age of 21, he opened a health spa in Oakland California and dedicated his life to helping people become healthy through nutrition and exercise. He was an innovator that actually invented a number of exercise and fitness machines to be used in his health spa.

He had been selling juicers on television infomercials for many years and his company is continuing his legacy, continuing to promote health, fitness and juicing. Jack Lalanne passed away on January 23, 2011 at the age of 96.

Jack Lalanne Juicers

There are only a few different models of Jack Lalanne juicers. There is the Power Juicer Classic, the Power Juicer Express, Power Juicer Pro and the Power Juicer Deluxe. Each of the machines have very similar features and they are all very close in price ranging from about $100 to about $150. All of the Jack Lalanne juicers feature a 3600 RPM induction motor with a lifetime warranty. Each model also features an extra large round chute able to accommodate most fruits and vegetables. Each model also has special safety features built-in and all of them are dishwasher safe.

Some of the Pros and Cons of Jack Lalanne Juicers

Jack Lalanne juicers are very popular due in large part to the exposure on television infomercials. Another reason for their popularity is because of the very large feed chute which is large enough to fit many fruits and vegetables into the machine without the need to cut them up first.

We wanted to dig a little deeper and see what actual customers have to say about their Jack Lalanne juicers so we studied a number of consumer reviews online to see what people liked or didn’t like about these juicers. During our research we found reviews that were fairly mixed although there are more positive reviews than there are negative.

The Consumer Perception of Jack Lalanne Juicers

The people leaving positive reviews all agree that Jack Lalanne juicers are easy to clean. They are simple to disassemble and they are dishwasher safe. Many reviewers also agree that these machines produce juice quickly and efficiently. A number of people are also commenting on the ability of these machines to make juice from leafy greens or wheatgrass which can be problematic for a lot of juicers.

Unfortunately, there were a number of negative reviews as well. Some of the negative reviewers are saying that these juicers are very noisy. Some people are also saying that they spit juice all over the place and make a mess. Some people also report that the juicers broke after a relatively short period of time.

Some of the negative reviews online sound pretty bad but if you take time to research a lot of the reviews you will find many more positive reviews than negative. The confusing thing is that some of the people that left negative reviews are saying the exact opposite of some of the positive reviewers. Some people say that these juicers do a great job with leafy greens and other people say that they are not able to create juice from leafy greens. Some people say that they’ve been using their juicer for years and other people report that their juicer broke after a few months.

With conflicting reviews it’s hard to know if a product is good or not but because there are more positive reviews than negative ones online we would tend to believe that Jack Lalanne juicers are in fact quality products. However, we would also recommend carefully researching any product before you buy it and making your purchase from a retailer with a good return policy just in case.
