Homecraft H26-260L Reviews – Positive and Negative

This Homecraft miter saw by Delta is kind of good saw. The saw cuts accurately and is light weight for portability as we moved through room to room. The laser is precise and user can actually cut on one side or the other of a drawn pencil line. The laser allows user to clearly see a drawn line without having to look at a faint pencil line. This saw is ideal for home using. The blade makes straight, clean cuts and the operation is very smooth. The Homecraft 10-inch Compound Miter Saw by Delta is pretty easy to assemble. The laser was accurate out of the box although other alignments were required before use. The blade makes straight, clean cuts and the operation is very smooth.

Wood dust was minimal and the dust collector feature makes cleanup very easy. In terms of cuts, adjustments were easy since the degrees of the cuts are very clearly marked on the device. This saw is not very big or heavy, so it is still easy to move around. This saw is easy to assemble, has a ton of features including a nifty dust catcher light enough to be portable not cumbersome, perfect for small jobs such as crown molding, frames, anything with corners and inexpensive. So, I think this is a great saw for the standard home owner that has small projects that need to be done around the house. In addition, the sliding saws are heavier and more difficult to carry.

This Homecraft miter saw has really cheap burlap dust bag. The denoted stops are more like speed bumps. The clamp provided has very fine threads and takes forever to adjust. It comes only with a 24 tooth carbide tip blade. The dust collection bag does not look like to collect any of the dust. Other downside of this saw is that the stops do not work well. It does not stay on the stop when you tighten it down. This saw is kind of great little miter saw for all kinds of home projects. The fence is very low and too small for crown. Auto stops were almost impossible to hit. They just do not lock in for the standard miter angles. The saw dust catch might as well have not been there at all. It is made of plastic and is far too flimsy for repeated loosening and tightening.

In particularly, this Homecraft H26-260L miter saw has some good features that give a perfect cut. So, in my opinion, this Homecraft compound miter saw is good for a homeowner, but this saw is not good enough for a craftsman or woodworker.
