The DEWALT DWE7490X Reviews
Like the other DEWALT table saw products, even though there is some lack, but this DWE7490X table saw is also one of good saw that has some great features. This table saw appears to incorporate all the features of the Bosch GTS1031 design such as Roll cage, one-handed horizontal carrying or storing, and on-board storage. One of the positive things of this table saw is that the rubber feet of this saw serve to protect any surface the saw might be sitting on. They also steady the saw by offering grip while also decreasing shaking during use.
The other one is that the saw can be transported or stored horizontally or vertically. Also, the side handle for transporting is well positioned, comfortably padded and balanced. Carrying this saw with one hand is very comfortable. This table saw has soft-start motor and steel roll-cage design which eliminates a lot of the plastic of previous designs. In addition, this table saw provides an effective dust port for a vacuum attachment on back of the saw.
Overall this is a great table saw but the fence lock is a major problem. The fence can only be locked by applying tremendous pressure on the lock. The lock is basically unusable and the cheap plastic adjusting knob has also stripped out. In addition, a plastic clamp to hold bevel angle is just not strong enough does not even lock in any position. The stand is absolutely terrible which is shaky, but it is very bulky and was a pain to move around. The scissor stand really is useless. The miter gauge is wobbly which makes inaccurate cut.
This table saw is lightweight so that is enough to move around, but heavy enough to keep stable and solid. It is relatively quiet and yet has enough power to avoid blade jamming. It cuts well and plenty of power. In any case, this saw is solid. Thus, in conclusion, anyway I am still going to recommend DEWALT DWE7490X table saw because particularly it has great features and is so easy to use.
